Data Protection

In Ireland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect this May. This regulation aims to protect the data of individuals from being released publicly. Penalties up to 4% of the world wide turnover of 20 Million euro will be used to enforce GDPR.

We can ensure that by May, businesses will be ready to say, "This is what happens to your data, this is who has access, and this is how they use it."

To do this, we offer the following services:

  • External Data Protection Officer - appointing a DPO can be beneficial for companies whose core activity includes data processing operations to process data that falls into special categories
  • Data Mapping - This is compulsory for companies when the processing of data can lead to a risk to the rights and freedom of individuals or if a company has more than 250 employees.
  • Data Audits - We offer to complete an audit on your data processing system and to recommend technical and organizational methods to ensure compliance with the new regulations
  • Training - We offer in house training of staff who deal with personal data
  • Advice on Data Protection - this includes advice on how to include data protection rules in the management system and how to deal with the authorities in case of data breaches
