Vocational Training "Made in Germany"
The German-Irish Chamber of Commerce is running a new “Vocational Training” project which may be of interest to your company.
- Are you looking for opportunities in the areas of training and retaining new recruits?
- Would you be interested in hiring apprentices who would receive practical company training and theoretical college training at the same time?
- Or maybe the recruitment of German speaking trainees is your aim?
The Chamber is planning to create a vocational training college. Over the last 25 years, dual vocational training colleges have been successfully operated by German Chambers of Commerce in more than 30 countries and in many different areas of industrial and commercial expertise. This type of training course combines practical training within a company like yours with an industry-relevant syllabus taught in a vocational college over a period of up to 3 or 3.5 years.
Benefits of Dual Vocational Training for both the employer and the apprentice are:
- Reduction of costs for continuous training
- Increase employee retention
- Possibilities for recruitment of German speakers
- Apprentices receive need-based training specific to perform better and grow within your company
- Proven track record of high German quality standards in vocational training with a long tradition in Germany – a real vocational training “Made in Germany”
The Chamber is currently assessing the needs and interest of employers in Ireland in this type of vocational training, with the ultimate goal of establishing the dual training system through a Chamber-run vocational college in Ireland.
We would therefore like to ask you to fill out the online questionnaire (please click here). If you have any questions concerning this project, do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you!
