Successful Business Trip to Berlin

29.05.2018

Over 35 patrons, members, and friends of the Chamber enjoyed a four day trip to Berlin

This year’s Chamber business trip to Germany from the 24th-27th May was the most popular to date.

Over 35 patrons, members, and friends of the Chamber enjoyed a four day trip to Berlin.

The business itinerary and the programme for partners were both equally successful.

Highlights included:

· Meetings with the biggest German business organisation, the DIHK, which represents more than 3.6 million companies in Germany. The Chamber’s Positioning Points were discussed, eg: maintaining the Irish Business Model; keeping the transit zone to continental Europe; and upholding the special relationship between the Republic and Northern Ireland

· A press briefing to German media on German-Irish relations

· Company visits to German-Irish businesses such as Signature Capital, Dussmann Group, and Zalando

· Dinner for the German-Irish Chamber hosted by the Irish Ambassador Michael Collins

· Over the course of the four days, all participants had the chance to exclusively network with key decision makes from politics, media, and business.

Please find pictures of our highlights attached.
