From 17 to 20 September, the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce brought together German and Irish expertise in the sector of Energy Efficiency in the Building Sector.
German Language Market Study: Energy Efficiency in the Building Sector
A briefing dinner near the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry, Dublin, on 17 September 2018 marked the beginning of the trade mission. At the conference on 18 September, five innovative German companies as well as several German and Irish speakers were covering different aspects of the energy efficiency sector. Close to 40 delegates attended the conference and a number of successful meetings had been organised for the German participants on 19 and 20 September.
The conference featured expert talks, as well as informative presentations by the German participants. The conference was officially opened by Mr Wasja Lin, Head of Marketing of the German-Irish Chamber, followed by an introduction by Elmira Schaltuganow, project manager for the Energy Export Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. An overview over the German Energy Solutions Initiative was given by Verena Brennan, manager at energiewaechter GmbH. Furthermore, there were interesting presentations from German and Irish experts.
In addition to the conference, the German participants travelled all over Ireland for a number of fruitful meetings with different Irish companies interested or already trading in the sector of energy efficiency.
