Evening with Gisbert Kuegler from Ornua

05.07.2017 | 17:00
- 19:00
German Irish Chamber

Gisbert Kuegler  will give an informational speech on Brexit, its consequences on both German-Irish trade and the implications within Europe.

What Irish consumers already appreciate about their creamy butter with a distinctive golden colour, is also recognized by the Germans: Nearly 13 million households there buy Kerrygold and make the product market leader — even though it is around 70 per cent more expensive than the cheapest available brand.

Born in Stuttgart in 1954, Gisbert Kügler studied economics at the University of Stuttgart. He started his career in the dairy industry with a Cooperative called Südmilch AG. Later on he worked as Managing Director for various companies in the FMCG sector and returned 1989 to the dairy industry again. 2004 he joined the Irish Dairy Board in Dublin to head up the Ornua Deutschland GmbH in Germany.
