Senior Environmental Consultant

Job Specification: Senior Environmental Consultant - Germany / Europe

Role
Analytically-minded individual required to join growing international consulting firm specialising in
environmental compliance. The company operates in 4 main markets – Ireland, UK, Canada and
Germany, where this role is primarily focused, with likely overlap into other European regions. The
successful candidate will ideally have experience and contacts within the wider European Extended
Producer Responsibility (EPR) area, be process oriented with good project management skills.

Salary: Competitive. Very much dependent on industry knowledge experience

Reporting to: Consultant Manager

Location: Hybrid/Home Working

Experience
 Understanding of European EPR, in particular Packaging, WEEE & Battery compliance;
 Contacts with EU Authorised Representatives would be a significant advantage;
 Experience of managing medium/large projects and dealing with clients at a senior level;
 General understanding and knowledge of sustainability and environmental reporting;
 Experience of handling/managing data management;
 Proficiency in Project Management and in using M/S Excel;
 Experience in researching German and EU environmental law a plus
 German Language (Native / Fluent)

Key Responsibilities
 Managing EPR Reporting process for German and European customers;
 Key client relationship management and general liaison during returns periods;
 Handling incoming queries and providing remote/online compliance audit support;
 Data management;
 Identifying opportunities for additional work from existing clients or new potential clients;
 Managing projects, ensuring expectations are met while staying in scope and on budget;
 Ensuring project learnings are captured and shared to improve organisational knowledge.

Customer Service Administrator

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Full or Part-Time, Permanent)

Bausch + Ströbel Ireland, a subsidiary of an international family-owned pharmaceutical company with over 50 years of industry expertise, is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Administrator to join our team in Ireland. We are committed to providing a collaborative and dynamic work environment, and we value individuals who can contribute to the success of our local Customer Service team through effective administrative support.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service / Sales Support:

  • Systematically record and manage all customer inquiries.
  • Prepare quotations, order confirmations, invoices, reminders, and handle internal and external correspondence.
  • Participate in the organization and execution of (project) meetings with customers, partners, and potential suppliers, as well as relevant specialist departments.

Planning:

  • Assist in coordinating appointments with customers.
  • Manage travel arrangements, including hotel bookings, document preparation, authorization requests, and checking the delivery of required parts for service visits.
  • Follow up on trips, including invoicing, allocation of receipts to orders, and ensuring service reports are complete.

Order Monitoring:

  • Create internal orders for specialist departments and ensure all details required to start the order are clarified.
  • Confirm delivery dates for critical and/or urgent orders.
  • Monitor the requirement dates of current orders.

Administrative Support:

  • Check business transactions for completeness and accuracy, reconcile with internal documents, and prepare notifications and reports.
  • Prepare and monitor incoming payments and outgoing invoices.
  • Verify service technician timesheets and ensure accurate recording in the system.
  • Undertake small special projects to optimize processes at the site.

Qualifications:

  • Commercial training or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong customer focus with an affinity for customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in administration and office organization.
  • Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Independent and meticulous working style.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team.
  • Fluent in English (German language skills are an advantage).

Service Account Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Full-Time, Permanent)

Bausch + Ströbel Ireland is actively seeking a dynamic addition to its team! As an integral part of our international family business, with over 50 years of excellence in the pharmaceutical industry, we are on the lookout for a dedicated Service Account Manager to manage our local customer service team.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Service Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our valued customers within the target market, playing a pivotal role in advising, supporting, and fostering their development. Your primary duty will be to ensure an unparalleled service experience for our customers. This involves advising and supporting our customers, as well as coordinating all customer service activities between the customer, specialist departments in Ireland, and those at our head office in Germany.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all customer inquiries post a successful SAT (Site Acceptance Test), involving relevant departments at the site and head office.
  • Assume responsibility for customer satisfaction, support, and development.
  • Engage in active service sales and lifecycle consultancy, including follow-up on quotations.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts (e.g., SLA).
  • Serve as an external escalation point for all customer concerns, initiating internal actions and escalations as necessary.
  • Capture and communicate customer and market requirements to Service Product Management.
  • Support sales in general service-specific issues, such as URS handling, contract management for new machine projects, and presenting the service product portfolio.
  • Conduct regular customer visits.
  • Participate in trade fairs, encompassing preparation, active participation, and follow-up.
  • Ensure the achievement of annual target order intake and planned revenue increases.
  • Act as an extended project team member for new machine projects, particularly during the installation phase.
  • Collaborate closely with customer service staff at the head office.
  • Provide coaching and technical support to local colleagues (e.g., Customer Service Administrator).

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed technical studies or equivalent knowledge (e.g., technical business economist).
  • Previous experience in customer service within (specialised) mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Strong customer focus with an affinity for customer service.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence in customer interactions.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to efficiently coordinate all customer concerns.

Field Service Engineer

Bausch + Ströbel  is looking for reinforcement for its team! As part of an international family business with more than 50 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for a dedicated Field Service Engineer to support the local customer service team in a variety of activities related to our customers.

Your Responsibilities:

To ensure prompt and flexible support for machinery at customer sites, we are establishing and expanding a dedicated team of service technicians.

  • Perform installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modifications in accordance with customer requirements and established standards.
  • Effectively communicate challenges to technical support and implement on-site workarounds.
  • Conduct operator training and offer assistance to customers during production and shutdowns.
  • Foster ongoing customer satisfaction by addressing recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to identify sales opportunities and actively participate in trade shows.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed technical training as a mechatronics engineer, industrial mechanic, electronics engineer, or possess comparable knowledge and skills.
  • Substantial experience as a service engineer with a focus on complex specialized machinery.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, demonstrating high flexibility, personal responsibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Following a familiarization period in Germany, Ilshofen, the service assignment can be conducted remotely. The training period spans approximately 3-6 months, contingent on experience.

Country Manager-Solar PV O&M
