German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce Elects New Council, President and Vice-President

At yesterday’s members’ assembly on 29 April 2025, the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce elected its new President, and Vice-President.

Joe Walsh, Managing Director of Siemens Ireland, was elected as the new President of the Chamber and will lead the Council over the coming term. He is joined by Grit Young, Partner at EY Ireland, who was elected Vice-President. Both bring extensive leadership experience and a strong commitment to fostering German-Irish business relations.

The new Council is composed of high level representatives from a wide range of industries, reflecting the strength and diversity of the Chamber’s network. Among the elected members are Ben Murphy (Miele Ireland), Brian McMenamin (Bosch Ireland), Conor Heaney (Barclays), Eilish O’Connor (Infineon Ireland), Florian König (König & Kollegen), John Glennon (RSM Ireland), Jonathan Hackett (Botany Weaving Mill), Liam Ferguson (B. Braun Medical), Paul Cunningham (SAP Ireland), Philip Daly (Byrne Wallace Shields), and Simon Dauber (Allianz Global Life).

The Chamber congratulates the newly elected  council members and President and Vice-President and looks forward to a successful collaboration. With their broad expertise and dedication, the Council will continue to strengthen German-Irish economic cooperation and support businesses on both sides.
