Micro grids and self-sufficient energy communities are currently in the process of being established in Ireland. Many of the technologies are sourced from abroad, giving German companies the opportunity to offer their own products and services to the Irish market.
German companies will receive even greater sales opportunities for German as a result of the imminent departure of the United Kingdom. The UK has traditionally been an important trading partner of Ireland, but will lose much of its relevance in the course of the Brexit.
