Thank you and Farewell to Ralf Lissek after 25 years in the Chamber

Dear Members and Business Partners,

On behalf of the Council of the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce, I am writing to inform you that our CEO, Ralf Lissek, will leave his role at the end of this month, much to our regret, to pursue new business opportunities.

We would like to thank Ralf for his dedication and commitment to the Chamber over the last 25 years, and for broadening its work, network and influence to become one of the most effective, respected, and dynamic business organisations in Ireland.

Ralf has consistently championed members’ interests and created an entrepreneurial mindset that has set us up for success. Ralf has been instrumental in developing the organisation as a key partner to the business, political, and administrative communities in Ireland and Germany, as well as to the European Commission and Parliament in Brussels.

Ralf’s energy, enthusiasm and ideas have significantly contributed not only to the financial success of the Chamber, but also to the growth of trade, investment and business relationships between Ireland and Germany. His many accomplishments leave a lasting legacy.

We would like to extend our deepest best wishes to you in your future endeavours both personally and professionally.

As we wish Ralf the very best for the future, we will also begin the process of appointing his successor. In the meantime Alexandra Voss will serve as interim CEO of the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Thank you and Farewell after 25 years in the Chamber

Dear Members and Business Partners,

As I leave the Chamber to embark on new business ventures in Ireland, I would like to thank the many exceptional members, business partners and colleagues that I have worked with over the last 25 years.

It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as CEO of the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In particular I am extremely proud to have developed the apprenticeship system in Ireland, to have founded the European Chamber of Ireland and to have established and chaired the German-Irish Hydrogen Council that facilitates the development of links between German and Irish businesses in the renewable energy sector.

Thank you to everyone for your enthusiasm, support and friendship during what has been an amazing journey that has seen the Chamber evolve and grow to where it is today.
