As Europeans we face many challenges, from climate change, from youth unemployment to data privacy. We live in an ever more globalised, competitive world. And while most of us take democracy for granted, it also seems under increasing threat, both in principle and practice.
The European Parliament elections will take place across the EU between 23-26 May 2019. In Ireland, it will be on Friday, 24 May 2019. Every five years, the citizens of Europe have the possibility to directly elect the members of the European Parliament, who will then be European Parliament represent their interests.
